Hey guys. I decided since Kishi is going to reveal who tobi is soon, I'd take the time to formulate my own predictions. Instead of telling you who I think Tobi is and why, I'm going to go over the things we know about Tobi or could assume, and what those might mean.
Tobi has NEVER deactivated his sharingan and covered one eye for almost the entirety of the time we've seen him. We can assume he is trying to conserve chakra and because of this we may assume that not only he is not madara, he is not an uchiha at all despite his incredible handling of the eyejutsu. This is not certain, but it is most likely true because no reason has been given otherwise. Tobi does have the hairtype that is typical of Uchiha, though. Also another theory is that Tobi has more than enough power to keep an eye always activated and kept another covered unless he really needed it.
Tobi knows a lot about the Sage of the Six Paths and his sons, despite everyone else in the series thinking they are mere myths. This could mean he is one of the 2 sons or he just is very knowledgeable.
Tobi was able to convince Madara to fight the first hokage for the senju cells; we know Tobi is old. Tobi also told Madara about Nagato's revival ability and that he would be resurrected if he died. I assume Nagato was around 30 years old when he died and it is VERY peculiar how Madara knew about someone who wasn't even born during his time. I'm not sure how this works out. Feel free to debate about this. All we know is Madara and Tobi had a plan and shared secrets.
Tobi is extending his life via Zetsu/Time warping. Tobi has lost many Zetsu-like body parts in the manga so far just to back up the talk. Also, it has been shown that Tobi's realm is timeless. These things both help to show how someone who is possibly a few hundred years could still be alive.
Tobi only has one jutsu as Kakashi said in the latest chapter. Could he be like a controlled Pain who only had one ability? I have no idea what this could implicate.
Tobi knows everything about the tailed beasts. The sage of the six paths and his sons are the only ones who knew that the tailed beasts were one before it was split into 9.
When Tobi was telling Sasuke about how Madara attacked his little brother for his eyes, he gripped onto his sleeve and was obviously upset about this for some reason. After we found out Tobi was not Madara and his brother DID die, this scene is slightly confusing. The only thing I can think of is that the sage's older son attacked the younger for the inheritance. This could be related.
Kisame believed Tobi was madara when he told him and showed his face. Therefor, Tobi must look somewhat like an Uchiha. This goes against some of the other stuff we've learned, but so many things clash we can't worry about it all.
Tobi wants peace through control, which was the sage's older son's idea, however after being betrayed by his brother and watching his father's jutsu being used to harm others, the younger brother could very well of changed his entire view. Still, there are a few others who hold this ideaset.
Any facts about Tobi i missed? I don't yet have a definite idea who he could be, but I want to have all the things we do know together to theorize for myself.
