What was up with making Tien look so useless last episode?
Everyone gets power increases and/or new techniques to make them a useful addition for the tournament.
Yet none for Tien so far? He seemed to be less impressive compared to dragonball z.
In the 2 v 2 battle it looked like he lost some of his fighting sense.
Looking very uncertain and sloppy in general in that battle.
Not paying enough attention to the build up of Piccolo's technique while Goku was in combat with Gohan.
He also was stationary the whole time. Partly maybe due to receving a punch from Gohan in the gut.
However shouldnt Tien be able to take more damage or find methods to avoid it?
Multiform for example?
Gohan wasnt even in Mystic when he punched Tien.
Tien in dragonball z, was someone who was actually still useful in sagas like the cell saga and buu saga, unlike many other z fighters.
A reason is because of Tien's special techniques, that allowed him to be useful, even when having quite a lower power lvl than the opponent that he fought.
For example Cell 2nd form vs Tien with the Tribeam and Tien holding Cell down for quite a while due to the Tribeam being such an impressive technique (also liferisking if pushing the technique too far).
I dont mind if he has the lowest power lvl out of the group. Krillin, Roshi and him are without a doubt the bottom 3 in that regard.
However Tien should compensate in other ways, like with techniques and great fighting sense, to be a useful addition.
It makes no sense to make him look so uncertain and sloppy in the 2v2 battle right?
Hoping and still expecting to see a more impressive Tien in the tournament.
