Well, i think that there was a deep reason why Minato sealed Kyubis chakra in his son that we'll see later(maybe during the current fight between Naruto and Tobi or after). Why i say that? It's because so far we know, i don't think that Tobi actually know that Naruto only has half of kyubis chakra, right?
So that means maybe Minato saw that night that Kyubi was very important for Tobis plan, and decided to make sure his plan failed by removing half of Kyubis chakra and seal him forever. Another passage makes me think it was not for no reason he did that, and you can see it in his databook. I will show you. I took it on Mangahelpers:
He even goes in the detail by saying "yang". Why "yang" but not "yin"?
So i think maybe we could be surprise later. So what do you think? :scorps:

You are not forced to read the entire quote, just the bold part at the end says it. "What was Minato's true purpose when he sealed Kyubi's Yang chakra into his son...?"Databook Minato said:Main text
Minato learned from Jiraiya and taught to Kakashi. Uncommonly talented, he was instated Hokage at a young age. A faculty to come up with original jutsu one after another, a strong-willed heart brimming with kindness; one could almost gaze upon the village's bright future through Minato. Until Kyuubi attacked it. Minato divided Kyuubi's power and entrusted a part of it to Naruto, the son he'd had in the meantime with Uzumaki Kushina. What is it his eyes have spotted in his very own child?

As a father and as a leader, he entrusts the shinobi's future to his own child.
Is it okay... if I borrow the name of this novel's main character?
Picture comments
By naming his son, Naruto, after the main character from a novel, he does a great honor to his master Jiraiya.
