What was the purpose of Team Taka Thematically/Symbolically?

Everything in Naruto seems to have some hidden meaning or symbolic purpose. For example, the 10 tails=10 horned beast of Revelations, Shinju=Genesis, ten tails face=see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. Uzumaki symbol represents cycle of hatred, Obito's Im in Hell the rain of blood, etc etc I could go on and on

Kishimoto thought out like every little thing he put in, so what was the significance behind Taka besides being backup for Sasuke and comic relief? I'd be fine if they were just that, comic relief is important and Suigetsu and Karin were pretty funny, but did they have greater significance? Sasuke was supposedly alone and friendless, yet he had his trust side kicks. But he abused the shit out of Karin and took them all for granted, so idk I'm just confused. So much happened in this story.

team taka or eagle was was a symbolic rep of a raptor.according to saske, they are hunt their objectives and submits to none.

My favorites were Sun Wu Kong (Hiruzen's summon representing a Journy to the West character), the Bible's description/image of the shepard (Hagoromo's legend and the image of a staff in one hand & a rod in the other) and Orochimaru (the snake under Japan that caused earthquakes when it sheds its skin).

Team taka were supposed to *symbolize* how sasuke went from a snake to a hawk or something, I dont know.

The way I see it, the team was *needed* so that Sasuke wouldnt get curbstomped by Killer B in their respected fight.
They're more or less represent the plot armour around Sasuke. Karin was the healer and scout. Juugo was dps and leech-heal, Suigetsu was ....the funny guy.

Team Taka represented the evolution of Sasuke and the rest of the squad. Previously they were still all under Orochimaru as his pupils but following the fight with itachi I recall the moment where Sasuke is crying looking over that hill.
He says something like we are no longer snake, now we are taka.
