What was the point of Kishi giving Minato KCM?

What the hell was the point in building up all the hype of Minato using KCM and only doing what the other Hokages were doing(using a sealing jutsu). Did Kishi just feel Minato wasn't strong enough? Nonono that can't be it because he has shown strong feats in the past. Was it Kishi slacking off with writing his manga? Yeah I am going to go with that one.

Seriously though why use it there it served no purpose. He should of saved the surprise when he was actually going to use the power to keep the hype going. It is just like someone giving you a present and kicking you right in the balls afterwards.

I'm sure a lot of people would have preferred to see techniques Minato could have actually used when he was alive. The fact that he needed to use KCM for the barrier ironically makes him look weaker.

Let's wait and see if he shows worthwhile feats.

He didn't *give* Minato the chakra...it was with him since the sealing of the half of the kyuubi.

the reason could be for several reasons. I think you are just to quick to judge....i mean there could be a reason later that would explain every thing. Kishis style is best described as "wtf" to ohh now i get it, and repeating the process.

It may be possible that minato simply went kcm to make the barrier extra strong, or that he wont get to stay long, or that he needs to be in it so he can sense danger.

Or simply it may have been shown now because after the barrier, oro will release edo tensei, before minato would have a chance.

Simply it has not been explained yet.
