[Question] What was the point of giving Chinjao Conquerers Haki

Now I'm not saying CoC is starting to get passed around like Rinnegans but I don't get why Chinjao has it. Now Mihawk, Ace and Mingo I can understand, they are some of the special 'chosen ones' that were chosen to be blessed with it because they've impacted the present and will impact the future in extremely important ways. He had a significant past when he encountered Garp, was a pirate, and in his prime. But he's neither of those things now, just an old man with a lot of power.

What do you think of Chinjao having CoC? Approve? Disapprove?
Do you think that he was a chosen one?
Do you think he's going to return later with a more important role (besides the war)?

i approve, shows his worth in matching him with garp. tho i do hope their battle was more than one punch/headbut..plus implys how strong the hoppou navy is (or however u spell it). and yes i think he will come back with a more important role. i think this grand battle that is suppose to make marine ford look small, will be an alliance of luffys friends, and chinjao and his navy will be a big part of luffys allied force, he already offered comand to luffy

Lol I doubt it will be passed out like rinnegans. The current percentage of king's haki users is extremely low when you factor in all the OP characters. Anyways...

1.) I approve. Hopefully CoC would be branched out and once that happen you can decide then...
2.) Yes, his bounty is really high and we have no idea what he has done to get that bounty.

It's said all the big names in the New World have CoC and Chinjao, as a leader of the Happou Navy, can be considered a big name. Chinjao has CoC to show that he has the charisma and spirit to be a leader.

You have a point, but just being powerful doesn't make you a chosen one, he should have a strong impact in the future. but thats unlikely since hes so old, anything important he would have done should have been in the past

I guess my main gripe is him not being a chosen one. Only really impactful characters have CoC and if you removed him from the storyline the only difference would be that Luffy didn't fight him in Block C, and there would be one less person chasing him.

He hasn't really done anything to make him extremely distinctive yet. I thought he would do something mindblowing during the race to Mingo showing why he has it but he hasn't. And I don't consider fighting Luffy a mindblowing feat, especially when he didn't even sweat.

Garp had to train just to defeat don chinjao, shows that he was something back in his prime nothing wrong with him having CoC

He was able to compete with the future pirate king disregarding the fact the he was out his prime and missing his best weapon. He was at the wrong place at the wrong time during the garp fight, Chin would of done great thinks as pirate if not for that incident..keyword If lol
