What was the point of Dodai?

[Kid Kakashi]

Dodai had a great amount of dialouge for a random character. Also, he appeared out of nowehere. At least the 5 Kage and the bodyguards appeared in the Five Kage Summit unlike Dodai. He even saved Narutos' clone from the meteors and the 3rd Raikage. So why didn't Kishi use a character who's been around and not a new random guy like Dodai?

But he's so random. Who is Dodai to have so much dialogue and to save the main character's life multiple times?

Hes one of the strongest in the Cloud but not as strong as Dauri

He is probably stronger than C but the Raikage probably needed a sensor on his team because A and Dauri are not sensors

thats all I can guess....to me he seems to be the Kakashi of the Cloud.....whats under that eyepatch?????

I think he could probably take Darui. His rubber is very durable, especially against lightning. And how dare you compare him to Kakashi:flaw:
But, Ao also has an eyepatch, so Dodai is more like him imo. It's probably a scar, I think Kishi made enough non-Uchiha/Hyuuga's with a sharingan/rinnegan/byakugan by now

jeez i meant it in respects to the fact that both Rubber Guy and Kakashi have something covering their right eye

and BTW people compare Dauri and Kakashi all the time yet you say Rubber Guy can take Dauri....

plus Rubber is resistant against lightning which is Kakahsi's best jutsu.....
