Any creature that's waiting for me at night. Had to cover my ears while sleeping.

The dark, because i had a feeling aliens were creeping on me while i slept :pick:

Maybe they were >_>

I had both of those fears, but linked with the fear of Satan. Once I woke up because I had to go to the toilet, but then stayed in the bed because I was afraid if I watched into my bathroom's mirror I could have seen the face of the devil

Very interesting. I've never heard of a Jana before. What in the story behind them? Where are you from?

Don't worry, it's a story from Sardinia (you probably don't know where it is since nobody does) in Italy. Janas were described as short girls who were able to do anything besides making bread. So they used to go to the houses asking for some bread, creating gold for those who gave it to them, and cursing those who didn't :D

Yeah it's so weird isn't it? My mom is completely normal too but for some reason she has these stories. I think I'd definitely believe in ghosts if I actually saw one, but since I didn't see what the noises came from I always feel like there's no logical way for me to truly declare what was going on.

I don't believe in anything supernatural/religious but there's just this one insane moment that happened in my life that I can't explain lol.

Same here.
There is also a story where my mother was driving with my grandpa in the middle of the night, don't know where they went to. They drove down a long, dark road outsite of any city, where you could only find farmland and forrests. My mum said there was suddenly a voice shouting at her that she had to break fast. She instantly did so and my grandpa was shocked, because he didn't know what was going on. My mum thought that my grandpa was shouting, but that wasn't the case. In the next second, there was a massive deer-stag in the middle of the street in front of the car, looking directly into their faces. They would've been probably dead if my mother didn't stop the car in the last second.
My grandpa confirmed this to be true, while he didn't hear the voice tho. My mother still gets goose bumps when she talks about that.

If something like this happened to me in personal, I'd question my points of view too. For sure.

Thanks for sharing that's very interesting. It's kinda funny that legend revolves around bread haha.

Wow that's crazy. Like seriously she could have died if not for that voice. There's some weird things that happen in our world.

Unpopular type of fear but I was scared of water wells xD
I couldn't help but notice a boy watching a static television in the movie my dad was watching. I stopped playing and sat down to watch the scene (One of the biggest mistakes of my childhood xd)
As he was watching, the static changed to a scene of a well and then all of a sudden a creepy looking girl started crawling out. (I was pretty young but I knew how deep well's could be because we had one nearby) That in itself was scary but the moment she walked to the TV and started coming through it, I think I burst into tears because of the fear XD
I didn't sleep well that night and stayed away from Wells for a long time :xD:
The Ring xD
Searched for it back in '11, watched it and just laughed at how much of a scaredy cat I was xD

In Germany, there is an old saying:

- "Hier sieht es aus wie bei Hempels unterm Sofa."
Word by word it means something like: "It looks like below Hempel's sofa in here". It basically means: It looks like a pigsty in here.
Hempels is some kind of an evil fable creature that is said to kidnap children when they have a messy room, taking them into his dirty home. And my parents used to tell my sister and me that Hempels is real, so I was really worried that there lives a monster below my bed. Similar to this:

Next thing is.. in our old home, I used to have my bedroom in the attic. And on the wall where the stairs to go up/down were, we used to have two very creepy portraits of clowns. One male, the other was female. And they had a little 3D effect on them. I swear, every time I went past them, it looked like their eyes would follow me. It was crazy xD

Who the **** hangs up pictures of clowns. Nevermind 3D effect clowns XD

OT: Just anything that could've been in the dark. Memories of turning my light off and sprinting into my bed. Can't let your feet out from under the cover either. Oh ni. Even if you're too warm because the demons will grab them, y'see. Forgot the Grudge lady because she can get you even if your back is to the wall/hiding under a blanket. Obviously any giant/dangerous monster could but she can be IN these places without you knowing.
There was a time when ghosts really freaked me out. I was 10 years old and was staying at my mom's house (a really old house in the middle of nowhere on a farm) when one evening in the silence of midnight there was this sudden, massive banging on the walls inside my room. The banging kept getting louder and faster, until it was very aggressive and scary.

Completely freaked out, I ran into the living room where my mom fell asleep earlier while watching TV. She was standing in the middle of the living room, looking really scared too, and then my step dad came out of his bedroom asking what was happening. The banging in my room stopped for about 10 seconds but then started again really loud and angry behind us in the livingroom. Everyone yelled/screamed and ran to the other side of the room. Then it went quiet again for a few seconds, and we heard this loud crackling (like crumpling a chips bag) happening behind the couch that my mom had slept on. The noises then abruptly stopped. We were terrified and all of us slept in the same room that night.

I asked my parents the next day about what had happened and they mentioned that multiple families had lived in the house years before and apparently it was rumored that one person had died inside. To this day we still have no clue wtf had happened.

What's even freakier is that my mom has told me many stories where she claims she's seen ghosts (like floating, transparent people with no legs that have talked to her without moving their lips) and I never believed her. To this day I still don't believe ghosts or religion (demons trying to harm you and all that), but after this experience I probably should lol.

Fuuuuuuck that, son. I should you got outta there asap. You sure it wasn't just farm animals messing around?

This is really intense, lol. Like it was right from the latest "Paranormal Activity" movie xD
My mother claims such things too. That she saw ghosts, felt someone touching her while she was completely alone and (partly familiar) voices that talked to her. She is not religious at all and not sick in the head, so it's really strange.

I'd bet that it was sleep paralysis/lucid dreaming.

According to my mom, I was really scared of the subway. I still kind of am (of tunnels in general), in fact, I feel like I have more irrational fears as an adult

That's the most scariest I know! lol ;)

While I hate getting back to such painful times, my curiosity gets the best of me.

What did they beat you with? Mine was the belt and occasionally a small branch. ;_;

Oh no! No such thing! Just light scolding but I really hated to disappoint my parents due to my carelessness! They are really good parents! I feel bad for you though!

I wasn't afraid of many things a kid would be afraid of but i was afraid of things that i don't understand even my parents didn't knew how to answer them for example death .

and when i was 10-11 i was afraid of lightning and thunder always thinking what will happen if it struck on me .
