What was Sasukes most supreme ordeal in the whole manga?

It's for a lit assignment where I list off some qualities that make Sasuke an archetypal hero. I'm pretty sure it was his final clash with Naruto, breaking his arm, or the whole fight.

I don't think any of us meant to omit the massacre; it caused the damage. But in the end, he didn't overcome the massacre; he just overcame his rejection of friendship and hope.
