Nah, he wouldn't do this. Hagoromo wanted their honest opinions, and Sasuke never lied in the manga.

Exactly.
But his honest opinion would mean killing of bijjus and deleting the past,
Would hagoromo really approve of that?

And honestly, we don't even know what he means when he says, "deleting the past".'
If he is talking about killing naruto, i will be damned

Ah, I wish I could find the answer I used to think Sasuke gave in old posts but it's too far away.

I always felt Sasuke said something along the lines of, "I don't care about the past, or these transmigrations labels. All I care about is putting an end to this fight to protect what my brother died for, and change the shinobi system so that my brother's death won't be in vain. This battle will be won so that another Madara won't be created, and no one will have to suffer the way my brother in this twisted shinobi world. That's it."

I had a better answer whenever the chapter first came out. But I think this is an answer that sounds realistically from Sasuke and an answer that the Sage would approve of.

i agree with this. the past such as bz, the bijuu, shinobi wars and such has caused a lot of hurt. he might want to move on from it and start anew.

Interesting.

There are actually two questions in the thread,

What is sasuke upto?
What answer did he gave to the sage?

Initially i thought they would lead to the same thing but it is also possible he hide his true intentions from the sage.

What i am curious to know about is what is sasuke actually upto ?
Honestly ,This is the thing which have still made me stuck to the manga :D

Ah, I missed that first question. I think Sasuke is trying to change the system, I feel like we're both clear on that. The real question is, how is he going to do it? How does he plan on going about this method that will differ from the past Hokages, Danzo, and Madara himself? It would be insane to have Sasuke think along the lines of the ones mentioned. I feel like he will diverge from the typical Indra reincarnation. I think the Sage thinks the same too after whatever Sasuke's answer was. At the same time, he still has to differ from Naruto too.

That's what makes this difficult. It probably involves power somehow, but with Sasuke fighting Madara, I think Sasuke should know by now that power alone will not change this world. I don't think Sasuke tried hiding his intentions, he was probably just vague as always. But I completely agree with you Frikid, Sasuke's intentions are what keep me tied to this manga. Everything else is kind of a bore IMO But with Sasuke, you never know what you're gonna get.

This was when he arrived on the battlefield, I think that his reuniting with Naruto and fighting beside his former comrades helped Sasuke, in a way. Even Kakashi stated that Sakura still feels like she needs to save Sasuke from the darkness. Or should I go back in time, when Orochimaru said that Naruto is acting positively on Sasuke. All this dying stuff, meeting Hagoromo, becoming Yin-Yang with Naruto, Naruto's words about camaraderie... It looks like it has an effect over Sasuke. :)

This is a good answer

actually, he did. When he knocked the glass of water over when he reached for it, Karin asked him if there was something wrong and he clutched his eye and said there wasn't.

Sasuke's unpredictable as always. I read that page of him saying I will delete the past over and over again, I still didn't understand what he meant or why he had mental image of Naruto's face getting cut in their old photo. It would be quite interesting, if Sasuke wants Naruto dead, after all this happens.
