What was Sasuke thinking?

Okay, so after Orochimaru died Sasuke formed the team known as Hebi, which consisted of Karin, Suigetsu, and Juugo.

So why, exactly, didn't Sasuke just go get help from the Leaf? It's clear he isn't above getting help, and Leaf support would have been even more effective than the Hebi team.

Was this just for plot's sake? It doesn't make sense to me why he wouldn't go back.

He felt like Konoha was holding him back and he didn't want to reconnect those bonds he said he's severed. Plus, Konoha would probably try to capture Itachi (good luck with that) which would have completely interfered with Sasuke's plan.

Because once he left the leaf he considered a missing nin so the leaf won't help him expect naruto sakura kakashi

But kishimoto explained that sasuke doesn't want to involve team seven to this because they make him want to change and stop his revenge and live happy etc

They had impact on his life so he needs to cut those bonds to accomplish his goal

Sasuke is naturally born leader, also coming back to konoha would imply that he would serve their goals not vice versa.

He was too prideful to return to Konoha and ask for help. I bet he also imagined they were just going to get in his way/be too weak anyways

They didn't want to help him. That was why he left in the first place. He couldn't get stronger there and no one there was willing to help him. Kakashi even tied him to a tree and told him to forget about revenge, and he was the only one strong enough to help Sasuke. It has nothing to do with pride or any of that. They even tried to bring Sasuke back multiple times. The very idea that people think anyone from Konoha was willing to help Sasuke makes me worry.

He didnt know that at the time of "Hebi"'s formation...

Sasuke didnt go back to get help from the village because.... He is a missing-nin, so they wouldnt help anyways...

2) Konoha wanted to capture Itachi not kill Itachi.... So that is a direct affront to Sasuke's goal of killing Itachi
3) He needed certain people that he felt were sufficient to aide him in his goals
4) A large amount of people would attract to much attention so he only wanted a few and knowing Konoha... they would send in lots of shinobi to try and capture Itachi, you know... "strength in Numbers"
