What was Orochimaru's plans for wanting a sharingan or Sasuke?

It has been said Oro and Kabuto believed the rinnegan was a natural evolution of the sharingan. Could this be the true reason Oro wanted it? Since than rinnegan gives access to all jutsu.

I can see him coming back through Kabuto and trying to take Sasuke and who know maybe he will.

Orochimaru, his main goal is live forever(learning all jutsus)(snake(serpents) symbolizes knowledge), if he is able to acquire an uchiha as a host, he will gain access to the copy-wheel technique, and also Orochimaru had already ahead of time made a hypothesis, in the evolution of the sharingan into the rinnegan. The Rinnegan allows the user of all the 5 type's of chakra's.
