By now we all know that the Akatsuki's main goal was to capture the bijus to complete the moon eye plan. Please explain why is it that when Obito captured the Kyuubi, instead of walking away with it, he teleported it to the village and fought minato without any mokuton techs?

Ill be giving out +reps to rational reasoning.

Maybe he had a different plan at the time and Minato ruined it when he sealed Kurama inside Naruto. Or he was acting on his own at the time.

Thats the only thing i can think of U_U

Probably at that time, he doesn't have any access or means yet to capture all nine of them. Another reason could be that he probably wants to start with the nine tails first because that was the closest one for him.

Hm.. Probably at the time he was infuriated and wasn't rationally thinking (due to his lingering rage because of Rin's death) in which he attacked Konoha.. Later I believe when he started thinking rationally(It being a few more years after Rin's death)he then put Madara's plans into perspective and sought out Yahiko to manipulate him to start the akatsuki.. I can go on if you wish but that's my reasoning as to why he attacked Konoha with the Kyuubi..

Also the Mokuton statement i'm not to sure about that, maybe he really wasn't the one to use this technique.. Or he chose not to eh I don't really know how to explain this one rationally..
Facking doctor took my idea! :rag:

Well maybe he wanted to take revenge for Rin's death or something. He also probably did not think that anyone would be able to stop it. (He is pretty stupid for that) He also had control of it so maybe he thought that if things got bad he would just tell the kyubi to run away or something.

If I'm right, you have to seal the Tailed Beasts in order. Perhaps he wanted to cause major damage to the village so Konoha doesn't go looking to get the Kyuubi back. Just one explanation.

He probably didn't use the Mokuton because probably because of two reasons: the Nine Tails is on his side and he knows probably that nobody in Konoha, even the 4th and 3rd don't have this technique to counter his attack.

was akatsuki even form as yet?
maybe madara went in a sleeping state or was getting weaker so he wanted to take that chance to go take his revenge, or maybe obito was sneaking out behind madara's back and found out about kushina's pregnancy and madara didn't know and madara gave him a mission to try to invade the leaf and obito took that as his opputunity to take the 9tails as extra back up :shrugs:

Actually, i believe he still loves minato/kakashi, and he feels sorry for them, thats why he didn't go full power on them, But for some reasons he still hates konoha, "I believe danzo was behind Rin's death..." that would make sense why he attacked konoha... "And later dragged out danzo and watched him die..."

Plus he wanted to do multi-jobs at same time, Destroying konoha "a Place that Senju/Uchiha childs can be a problem later.. because of their powers (I believe that was madara's point of view)", Get his own Revenge, and later get kyuubi for master plan

Either 3 things.
1.)He wanted to get revenge on Minato for being negligent
2.)To frame the Uchiha
3.)I remember it being said that Kurama needed to be added last or else it would disrupt the chakra in the Gedo Mazo or something

I believe that Obito wasn't following Madara's plan/Akatsuki's motives when he infiltrated Konoha..I feel that the whole Kyūbi attack from back then was just Obito avenging Rin's death (from his point of view).

maybe that is why he wanted to take out Minato for being careless and leaving Rin and Kakashi in danger (This is also from Obito's point of view , since it's not really Minato's fault , as he was officially not affiliated with that team anymore, and that of course was as soon as Kakashi became a Jōnin.)

akatsuki was already formed at that point given that the Ame orphans were older than obito's batch.

It was the perfect opportunity. He would not control the ninetails for long. You know how long he waited at the right time where everything just fell into his hands? His goal was the destroy the leaf and the fire country. If anything you know how hard it was to control the 6 jinkuriki? He has to actually place rods into them in secret places. And to control tue 9 tails which is far powerful. It takes a lot I guess. My guess and I'll point it out -
He wanted to destroy the leaf village since it was the best time to actually do it. Only two people stand in his way, Hiruzen and the Forth Hokage. And we won't know what Madara wanted him to do while he is dead. So it's a mystery.

The Forth Hokage said that he can't keep the summoning jutsu for a long period of time. To time was of essence. He Took down the barrier, kill high ranked anbu, destroy the seal and knew that his wife's seal would be broken, and he did all of this in less then 5 miniutes. PERFECT PLAN...just so happens he was too cocky and it led to his downfall but it did not stop him.

If you remember Kushina's account of the attack on Konoha, we see Itachi with Sasuke in his arms.

This shows us that Sasuke's parents were out and about. As far as we know they didn't help the village in the Kyuubi attack. There is a possibility that Sasuke's parents had a hand in helping Obito gain access into the village and finding the location of Naruto's birth and in return he had to attack Konoha. The Uchiha's could have been attempting a coup d'état early than first introduced. Obviously things didn't go according to plan, which is why Obito wanted to get revenge on the Uchiha clan because he already had the Kyuubi within his grasp and lost it. Maybe the Uchiha's were supposed to attack the village along with Obito, but instead tried to frame it all on him.

My guess is that it wasnt a revenge. There was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to capture the Kyuubi without much hasle so Obito took it. Why attack the Leaf then ? Well, I think he wanted to reignite the flames of war bcs if the Hidden Leaf was destroyed and without its Bijuu then the power balance would have been gone. In case of war, other jinchuurikies would have been out in the open fighting the enemy as weapons in the war and that would make it easier for Obito and Akatsuki to capture them.
