What was Kakashi doin'?

Just reread the latest chapter and thought about Kakashi...

I mean he was just sitting there doing nothing and waiting for his doom? Or did he just reread his favorite lecture? xD
He could have tried to avoid Madara. Why wasn't he where Gaara, Lee etc was?

And why was Sasuke was so slow and couldn't protect his old teacher?

Just asking.

He was exhausted & Madara was too fast which is why he couldn't defend himself. As to why he had his back turned...well the only explanation is that he was being careless and thought that the others could handle Madara. But hey, it happens to everyone in the series, they all do something that's absent-minded at one point or another.

I don't see what difference it would have made looking at madara. His body even at its best can't keep up with maddy, and in that situation it was literally at its worst not to mention his lack of sight out of his sharingan eye, so he can't even see depth correctly.....

He couldn't stop it and had he put up a defense that would mean his movement speed/reaction speed is comparable to the maddy.

1- It was Naruto/Sasuke's responsibility to not let Madara drag others into the battle...
2- Kakashi had done his part in the war and Lee/Gaara must have been there to back him up...
3- Battlefield had moved from that location and Madara's arrival was too quick for Kakashi to realize the situation...
4- And how ridiculous it may seem, Kakashi is the last one to get soloed by Madara among normal people...
