itachi only induced traumatic events to sasuke, no actual scan showed itachi stabbed sasuke in tsukuyomi... it was different with kakashi where itachi really did induced pain, but still did not kill him... its itachi we talking here, he know when to stop before that jutsu can kill them..

He casted Tsukuyomi on him to strictly remind him what he was all about: killing Itachi. By making him repeat that one night all over again, it made him hate Itachi more than ever, which is exactly what Itachi needed to happen.
