That's what I was saying in my first post in the thread, if they knew she was an heir of the main branch, it makes sense they would target her, you added the byakugan deal, which is another good reason, with no curse seal they could of plucked her eyes right out mads style

OT : She was the heir to the Hyuga until she gave it to Hanabi. Even now being the wife of the seventh puts her above that title, while also being regarded as the Byakugan Princess.
