Question is whats the point.The chances of them being paired in canon is slim so whats the point of random ship tease if no further pairing will be canon?

Another Uchiha means he will be a rival but they want to concentrate on Boruto.
Uchiha rival means more work, they cant just make Sasukes son an irrelevant fodder. They have to give him significant amount plot and character development. A female means they could just let her off like other females in Naruto or do less work on that part.

It's just symbolism, it could have been a small reason for what happened but in no way it is the sole reason. Inheritingly, everybody has both Yin and Yang, i.e; Chakra. In the manga, Yin and Yang coming together is symbolized by the Rinnegan. Naruto had the Rinngan symbol on his back and Sasuke had the Rinnegan. What matters is dominance.
