Naruto had whiskers at birth. It's due to Kurama being inside Kushina. Same goes for his kids. They probably have less whiskers because Naruto only has half of Kurama, no?

Kinkaku and Ginkaku have whiskers too, because they ate Kurama's flesh and gain some of his chakra.

Makes no sense for Naruto's kids to have them, other than it made them easy to identify as Naruto's offspring in chapter 700.
