I believe Madara with Susano'o would react too fast, and would stop him from being pulled under. His Susano'o even has legs so Madara is no longer on the ground when inside it, but I know what you mean Gaara should be controlling the entire terrain right now, or maybe the roots from massive wood release makes it difficult.

dude he had like 3 chapters all to himself. fighting his father. muu. then taking taking down the 2nd mizukage pretty much all by himself. and now he's fighting madara. HE IS IN THERE.

maybe becuase that move didn't even work on kimimaro. kimimaro sprang up out of the ground with his desert flowering thing or whatever. died from his illeness right after.

and as for the sand pyramid thing i would expect that to be an even greater technique then any he displayed in his fight with kimimaro. everything is on another scale now. so that pyramid is gonna have pressure and density included.

you do know what gaara does is mix his own sand with the normal right? which makes the sand slower. and madara can just change the battlefield into a lovely garden -:ice:

People think Gaara can spam sand anytime,anywhere without got exhausted because...he can fly xd

He's overated, when he had Shukaku he had more strengh.He was strong when he fight in desert with Shukaku but elsewhere he'snt much dangerous as we can see in this war,he can't spam massive attack ,and his attack are easily dodgable.
I don't remember him beeing able to kill any descent ninja with his sand (Naruto,Lee,Sasuke,Kimimaro,Deidara,Mizukage,Muu)
