Ok, so clearly minato can teleport an insanely huge and violently powerful object, the Juubi's TBB, to a distant location.

I was thinking, what's stopping him Minato from just wrapping his space-time barrier around an enemy, mid combat, and teleporting him into a deep sea trench? It's easy enough to just drop a kunai down there...

The pressure of some deep sea trenches are insane, they'd kill anything, and even by the off chance that you have the durability to survive such pressure (perfect susanoo maybe?) good luck trying to swim up in time to catch your breath.

I brought this up earlier and it was brushed off as not even serious enough to be considered, but I think it really is a valid way of defeating someone.

Do this to madara then seal the top of the trench with a mass of earth style/sand sealing jutsu. How is he going to get out?

I'm sure edo bodies still need oxygen to operate.

EDIT: Obviously Kishi would never have minato actually do this, I just thought, it should work in theory, right?

If Minato did that, then Itachi fanboys would have to admit defeat. That can't happen anytime soon, sadly. U_U

i could see it working on someone normal but not someone on madaras level and besides hes already dead he doesnt need air and the pressure that would crush him normaly wouldnt matter cause his body isnt real either

It would have to be prepared before fighting the target. Minato is just too bad-ass to try something like that.

he can even make a mark on the enemy without them knowing it...then just blitz outside to force them to throw their long range jutsus and warp it right back on their face...

tbb, amaterasu, magatama, fireball jutsus, water missiles, oonoki's particle, etc.

space time users are the coolest in the series to be honest...

1st of all, I really like Minato, one of my long time favs. But you are giving him too much credit.

To teleport something like the Juubi's blast would take a massive amount of chakra. He did it easily thanks to being an edo, he has no fatigue can cannot run out of chakra.

And it isnt so easy to just simply "wrapping" his space/time barrier around someone who is actually skilled. If not, then there wouldnt even be a need to in the 1st place, he would still be alive to this day if it were that easy.

Also, it isnt that easy to locate a deep sea trench, and even so, how would Minato know where and how to place it? its too deep to go there, and the current and many other things would prevent the kunai from reaching that far.

And, why would an edo body require oxygen to function?

I don't see why he can't do it, he could but maybe we are to believe that he can't because then all of his battle will be very one sided.

well if it was goku it would be that easy... or much easier

As far as I know edo just provides constant, unlimited chakra regernation - hence no fatigue, and the ability to regenerate (kisame showed ability to regenerate flesh from chakra alone). Even so, oxygen is still an intergral part of bodily functioning. What use is chakra if the cells can't convert sugars/fats & oxygen into water and co2? It'd just be a self regenerating statue. Well that's the way I see it.

The edos are like sasori's puppets in a sense.
They dont have a heart, no blood, no internal organs, no lungs, no need for air, no nerves, they are just souls in a vessel that resembles them before they died. They are literally golems with all their original powers. Madara is a specialized version, how did Kabuto do it"? nobody knows.

The pressure in the trench would probably crush the kunai too, making it useless. . . Probably why MInato hasn't done something like that.

Well, for starters, the pressure. Think about how pressure works.

If you open a floodgate (barrier) then what happens? Does the air go into the water's area, or does the water spill out?

The only problem is that minato cant warp his barrier around an object. Barrier itself is a plain...

And no, edo zombies dont need oxygen

Plot.
Its the only reason why kakashi looses matches even though he has one shot techs.
Its the only reason why minato died. He could have chosen a different seal for naruto.
It's the reason why obito is still alive.
It's the reason why the juubi is lookin weak as fuck And the SA is still alive.
