There are a numerous of things that still needs to be done or seen before an attempt on an enternal genjutsu.
1. The kages have to return. Where they are and what they are doing to get there is what needs to happen.
2. Kahkashi have to return from the other dimenision.
3. The edo kages have to put up a good fight with madara and obito.
4. Some new technique needs to be shown by Sakura..such as Slug mode or something since thats something that everyone is talking about.
5. What in the heck is Orochimaru is doing right now?
6. Where is Yamato?
7. Some final form of Obito
8. Naruto recieving the rest of Karuma Chakra
9. (wishful thinking) Jiriaya Returns
10. Whats going on in the other Villages
11. Theory and Wishful thinking: Uchiha Clan is actually in another dimenision and it will finally reappear.
12. Bee rather dies or some how the 8 tail gives naruto the chakra he needs to become the legendary warrior the true juubi jinchuuriki.
13. Neji rather comes back to life or some other main characters die. dont really want that to happen but the fact that he was the only one is pretty far fetch.
do you guys agree or is there something im missing. maybe something dealing with madara.
