White fang sounds cooler, but when people hear yellow flash they know the rep he has, of how fast he is, they shake in their boots, so to speak. But i dont know exactly what kind of reputation the white fang had, maybe he was super effective at carrying out missions and could easily make super tactical plans like kakashi, but better of course.
