Can you recommend any good series for me to watch? However I must let you know beforehand, I don't want to watch some ***** shit like Evangelion with wimpy main characters or chick flicks like Clannad. I want a manly ass series, lots of action with great storytelling. Preferably something like Toriko or Jojo. So let me know if you got anything that you think will pique my interest.

Baccano!
Samurai Champloo
Shiguirui Death Frenzy
Basilisk
Deadman Wonderland
Parasyte

I haven't watched or read Kinnikuman but here's a synopsis of the series and you can see the reviews of the series to see if it interests you. I just know that Shima was inspired from this series from an interview I read.

Doesn't seem very interesting tbh and the prince of alien planet is totally ripping off Vegeta which pisses me off, I won't watch it.

Ping Pong: The Animation. You don't even have to like ping pong, I don't. But the story and characters are master class.
Are you sure?

I've seen it.

I stopped it around the beginning episodes, anything else?

Watched original version + OVA + Movie Phantom Rogue + Read manga from Chimera Ant Arc + watched 2011 anime. HxH is my third greatest series of all time.

No, not what you are looking for except Code Breaker but I recommend the manga not the anime.

Aside from Parasyte and Samurai Champloo, give a quick summary of the others.
Though I'm not interested in Deadman Wonderland.

It's one of the GOAT's. A masterpiece in 11 episodes.
We have a winner everyone, I can definitely manage 11 episodes for a series that looks promising.

You sure? I just went to go check some reviews for this series and stumbled upon this:

There's a nice small montage @ 7:03 to see what you can expect for the fights of this series. I don't know if you could really say that's a rip off, since first of all it isn't and Kinnikuman came out before DBZ/DB.

Watch
Hellsing Ultimate
Kaze no Stigma
Great Teacher Onizuka (I don't think you'll like it but it is 10/10)
Black Cat
Darker than Black
YYH

You should mention the peculiar animation.

That's the author's style really awesome. Be it ping pong or Takemitsu Zamurai.

Baccano! - Ladd Russo, the only explanation you really need to watch this, he's the definition of a psychopath. But if you need more it's a story focusing on around 11-12 people who some way or another got hold of an elixir that made them immortal. The story is told in pieces with events being retold from differing perspectives. It's an intricate story told incredibly well and with a very refreshing approach.

Shiguirui is the story of the blind samurai and one armed swordsman being pitted in battle by the Shogunate(A Tokegawa of some sort idk if it's Ieyasu or his son)

Basilisk is the story of the iga and Koga ninja tribes war with each other. Not shy from the visuals and unique characters.

I'll watch Great Teacher Onizuka, I've heard nothing but good things for years, about time I check this shit out and see what the hype is about. I dropped Darker than Black. YYH is one of my favorite series of all time. Hellsing doesn't seem very interesting but why not? Black cat is already rubbing me the wrong way with its title. I don't know what Kaze no Stigma is, give me a quick summary.

I'll watch Baccano, thanks for the suggestions.

Black Lagoon and Samurai Champloo are high up there where strong action is concerned, and are pretty well off in the storytelling department. Hellsing Ultimate and Trigun are pretty good, too. All of them have excellent dubs that I would highly recommend over the Japanese voiceovers.

Oh yeah ChakraWizard's post reminded me the dub of Baccano! is brilliant. One of the best Dubs I've heard.

From what you said in the original post, I really recommend Kuroko no Basket then. The anime is amazing. It's #2 in my opinion.

Also make a thread where you discuss the episodes you have watched. I would like to see how you think of the series as you go on :p .
