You know....I can really understand what sasuke's been through first losing his whole family and what's worse is that his own older brother did it...what would you feel if you were on your way home to find your parents dead?
and your role model and the only person to understand you to reveal he never loved you or cared for you...
I honestly would be very angry and sad...but after that you're expected to just forget and let it slide by people who doesn't know how you feel..I mean i wouldn't just goof around if my father died because of his friend..I would stop at nothing to get justice...and after alot of years it's reveled to him that his brother actually loved and cared for him...and he suffered this whole time because of some people who think he's scum and he died for him and to those people....it's kinda hard to watch what those people did to his family without being angry....what would you feel if someone killed and stole everyone and everything you love and cared for....when that someone is living and laughing like your family were nothing...would you let that bastard keep his smile and go have a party with him if your dying brother told you to?
sure the uchiha were going to defect but still...losing your loved ones is the worst thing to ever happen to someone and it's totally hard to forgive someone who would do the same thing to you if you were to join him...

it's hard to express in words........I can kinda relate to the guy...

I don't think I would be too affected aside from the initial shock. I certainly wouldn't be angry/vengeful. My family has always been extremely disjointed and neither of my parents are openly affectionate. I haven't seen or spoken to my dad in over 2 years now.

Mr. Scogan drank off what was left of his port and refilled the glass.
At this very moment," he went on, "the most frightful horrors are taking place in every corner of the world. People are being crushed, slashed, disembowelled, mangled; their dead bodies rot and their eyes decay with the rest. Screams of pain and fear go pulsing through the air at the rate of eleven hundred feet per second. After travelling for three seconds they are perfectly inaudible. These are distressing facts; but do we enjoy life any the less because of them? Most certainly we do not. We feel sympathy, no doubt; we represent to ourselves imaginatively the sufferings of nations and individuals and we deplore them. But, after all, what are sympathy and imagination? Precious little, unless the person for whom we feel sympathy happens to be closely involved in our affections; and even then they don't go very far. And a good thing too; for if one had an imagination vivid enough and a sympathy sufficiently sensitive really to comprehend and to feel the sufferings of other people, one would never have a moment's peace of mind. A really sympathetic race would not so much as know the meaning of happiness. But luckily, as I've already said, we aren't a sympathetic race. At the beginning of the war I used to think I really suffered, through imagination and sympathy, with those who physically suffered. But after a month or two I had to admit that, honestly, I didn't. And yet I think I have a more vivid imagination than most. One is always alone in suffering; the fact is depressing when one happens to be the sufferer, but it makes pleasure possible for the rest of the world."

Kakashi had to kill someone he loved, Sasuke try to kill his friends for muh revenge.
Kakashi became even more of a prick after losing a single family member, he "took it like a man" because he was a prick beforehand. Afterwards, he basically took a shit on his fathers legacy of protecting his comrades over a mission, and it took some prepubescent pre-teen to get him out of that mentality.
Rin jumped in front of the Chidori, he didnt have to kill Rin. If Kakashi was as good with the sharingan and Chidori as his fans make him out to be, he could have easily stopped the Chidori, or moved in another direction, but he still hit Rin. Anyways, you also have to take into account that Sasuke was much younger than Kakashi when it happened. Around the Uchiha Massacre time, Sasuke was 5. Kakashi was a Chuunin at the time of his fathers suicide.

I agree with everything bar the bold.

Yes, the Uchiha were going to defect and well, commit treason. That's not justified in any cirumstance, considering that they only lived in a different district and nothing more. They lived there for years, but thought of rebelling at the point that the village was at its most peaceful. They were suspected for the Kyuubi incident, but they were all absent on the night of the attack and we'll never know why (fillers count for nothing). Sasuke lacked the ability to comprehend that taking power by causing conflict was not a good thing and he supports the Uchiha no matter what they do. That shows some weakmindedness.

The only ones in Konoha who have anything to do with the deaths of his clanmates are Homura, Hiruzen, Danzo, and Koharu. Literally no one else. It is justified for him to kill the elders, but an entire village that know nothing? No. W/ the Uchiha all the adults knew, Uchiha go insane when they lose someone/become hate-filled and greater conflict was avoided (massacre was definitely not the best way to do things, though). Killing an entire village was overkill. If he really wanted to go for an "Eye for an eye" theme, he could have killed only the clans of the elders...but an entire village. That's just randomly killing w/o reason and not remotely justifiable. It actually showed that he didn't really love Itachi- he doesn't value anything about him. He just admired him, but didn't care for his self-sacrifice.

Also, Sasuke didn't lose everything. He lost his parents and Itachi. He didn't know the others in the clan and had a few chitchats with his Aunt and Uncle. The others, he had no feelings for. He still had a village of people praising him and he admitted that Naruto was like a brother to him. He also cares/cared for Sakura and Kakashi. Team 7 gave him closure.

Uchiha bros are 5 years apart. Itachi was 13 and Sasuke was 8. Kakashi became a Chuunin at age 6. He experienced something worse at a younger age.
