Not really some S ranks can beat the kages but not all because according to this logic Shikamaru is above Kage level since he defeated Hidan who is also an S rank...

Well A isn't exactly the smartest person yet he's a Kage also don't downplay Naruto's intelligence he's actually pretty smart he's shown strategies that shock even the most experienced ninja's and defeated them.

S-rank = Kage level. Every Akatsuki member was S-rank missing nin, most of them were Kage levels. Naruto is much stronger than any current Kage individually.

So he's smart because he knew the SO6P was real...well it's not exactly difficult to believe since he had all the tools the sage used, but anyway why not compare Naruto to A in intelligence with A it's not simply anger issues and you know it, it's that he's quick to jumping to conclusions if he was so smart why did he allow Sasuke's flames hit his arm costing him a limb.

Also Naruto is not as smart as Kakashi or say Skikamaru but he's certainly not stupid.

He is a genin technically but realistically he is a high S rank or low kage level because of BM as the amount of time he can use it increases his rank will rise. IMO he will become SO6P level when the manga finishes but who knows what will happen and what is going on in Kishi's head
