By 30% it meant they still hit at full power, but were limited by how many techniques they could use because they had less chakra.

Well, seeing as math isn't a lot of your people's strong suits, I'll help out.

Pain (Nagato) stated he needed 30% of their chakra for the ritual, which means they used 70% of their chakra on the clones.

Cheers.

Doubt it, they had to reserve 30% of their chakra for the ritual, but I highly doubt Kisame only used 30%.

Itachi yes, but Kisame I doubt since he did state he had a vendetta against Gai.

Lol no bro, there's a reason why everyone else believes its 30%. When he said he needed 30%, he was referring to the chakra needed in order to perform the perfect clone ritual. You're the one that has it wrong lol.

I really doubt he'd give them only 30% to fight especially when it looked like Kisame was using much more than 30%.

30% to keep the ritual going, but they had a large pool to use much more chakra

Pain said he needed to take 30% of their chakra in order to preform the jutsu he did. Meaning that Kisame and Itachi both had 70% of their max chakra at the time.

They gave 30% to the bodies. When pain says he needs 30% for the ritual, he means that the technique still requires their chakra to be used. He is NOT saying that the ritual takes 30% and they can give 70%. This is furthered by Kisame's statement that the chakra passed over isn't that significant.

Owned. Plus Itachi couldn't use MS at all in that fight. If he couldn't use MS techs with 70% chakra, then he never would have been able to use it the way he did against Sasuke.
