[Theory] What one piece is

One Piece is a material value, as oda already said. What one piece is is a chest, a simple chest that holds a hourglass, but no ordinary hourglass. When shook, the person will travel back in time. This person will be luffy, the only thing he can remember is he had a strawhat in his previous life. Luffy goes back in time and becomes roger, and this cycle repeats so the Golden Age of pirates never ends.

Can't say that I like that theory...That wouldn't be fair to all the other pirates. That would mean that the world completely revolves around Luffy, which would have to do too much with fate for my liking. Plus, time should keep moving forward and the Pirate Age should be sustained in a better way.

I like this one theory that explains why the One Piece is something that will destroy the wall that divides the world in four, thus making the sea one again.

That guy is one hundred percent wrong, we know onepiece is not treasure. (otherwise buggy would of stole it) But onepiece should be related to the ancient weapons. Because roger said someone will use it and challenge the world

Not only don't I like that idea, it seems completely random and pointless. Not to mention it actually goes against what OP stands for: dreams. If OP what you say it is, you are trapped in a deterministic cycle, which is completely the opposite of following your dreams.

It is an interesting time paradox; however, I don't entirely like it....basically the Straw Hat Pirates at that point would have absolutely no purpose at the end of the story.
