I'm Souji 'Hyuuga' Seta of Konoha. Why don't you introduce yourself to me and we can get started!" he seemed approachable, honest, and friendly.
Well... that was a pretty straightforward introduction. Souji was taken aback slightly. But right down to business, he supposed...
"Alright, I've been asked to start out your training, then you'll continue under Lancer (Noni) -senpai."
Picking up a rock and dribbling it like a football, he began speaking.
"You've already had some training sessions before, so let's go straight to the Earth element. Tell me everything you know about it... basically, all the usual textbook stuff. Strengths, weaknesses, formations, users, KGs.... I'll fill in the rest later. Yeah, it's kind of 'meh' to do this, but everyone's got to have a solid foundation, right?"
Balancing the rock on his right foot, he waited for Kakuzu's answer.

Doton could be considered the most sturdy and durable. Unlike the other elements, Doton permanently becomes apart of the environment, like how Kurotsuchi of Iwagukre's volcano erupted White Zetsu. All of that is true, unless it's destroyed by an outside force, of course. Then it can be used as a shield, trap, or a blockade against an opponent. An example of it being a trap, is when the Alliance trapped the Juubi inside, then filled it with cement. It can be used toblock by erupting a small Doton wall to block Kunai, non-cutting winds, etc. It can withstand heat, and it's naturally superior to water. Due to the fact it can disperse a wave coming it's way. It's weakness is lightning however, shown with Deidara and Sasuke, Sasuke was able to render his attacks ineffective by charging lightning into his Clay Bombs (which is apart of the explosive release, that contains Doton). It can also be used in a liquid-like state, (i.e, mud) only adding to it'sversatility. It can also provide a big advantage, since it can literally alter the battleground with traps it's structures, and when I say it's the perfect mixture of supplementary, defense, and offense. Users would include, Ohnoki, Kazuzu, Kurotschi, Muu, Hiruzen,Obito,kakashi and others" kekkei genkai's are : lava,dust,blast,steel,clay is advanced form of earth etc

Doton is considered the most sturdy and durable as well as the most mobile element since it is almost every where. Doton is permanently a part of the environment, since all earth jutsu are done my simply manipulating the available earth for which ever purpose. Then it can be used as an important shield, trap, or a blockade against an enemy. It can be used to block by erupting a simple earth wall to block ninja tools and non-cutting wind techs It can withstand heat because of its dense ability and it's naturally superior to water as it can be seen in dams in the RL world also due to the fact it that it can disperse a wave coming in it's way,It's natural weakness is lightning because lightning shatters it,however,It can also be used in its liquid-like state, (i.e, mud) only adding to it's natural versatility. Pulling out a small piece of chakra paper from his pocket, Souji handed it to Kakuzu.
"You should know what to do with that. Channel your Earth chakra while molding it and visualizing what it is... strong and layered... powerful and structured... all that abstract, usual stuff. Make sure you focus and become one with the Earth. The paper should harden and crumble into dust if you're successful."
Souji listened again, giving a small sigh.
"Alright, alright... I guess that will be fine. I expect a little more out of you, since you've obviously had a few training sessions beforehand."

Collecting the piece of paper from senpai and still feeling bad of the earlier scolding,kakuzu was determined not to get scolded once again till he finishes his training. Having a sound and mental view of doton from the earlier questions asked by senpai,i start by gathering my raw chakra from the whole of my body while i continue by gradually increasing the density of the gathered chakra to make it more dense and sturdy as its the natural characteristics of earth,nature manipulating the chakra into doton and channeling the chakra from my chakra points releasing it out into the piece of paper as i flow it into the paper still anxious of the required outcome, the paper gradually becomes filled with doton chakra,as it gets filled completely the paper turns into earth and it crumbles in my hands.
"Hope i did it right senpai". Kakuzu says with enthusiasm.

I start by gathering my raw chakra from all over my body which i nature manipulate into doton by making my chakra sturdy and increasing its density to make it more dense. Releasing the doton chakra into the ground,i shape manipulate it to create an earth cane, a sword and a pillar with the doton chakra.

Okay! Now another simple technique. I want you to focus once more you chakra and nature manipulate it into doton chakra. Send the chakra towards a small chunk of rock on the ground and manipulate the shape of the rock into a normal sized staff. Grab the staff and either throw it towards the dummy standing short range of you knocking it down with great accuracy. That or your second choice is to dash towards the dummy and hit him with the rock staff.

Description: After performing the Rat hand seal, the user to control multiple sections of rock and move them around their opponent. The user then forms two gigantic sections that crush the opponent.
This is a rather simple straightforward jutsu. You will perform one hand seal and manipulate multiple sections of rock around the terrain, you will move them around your opponent and set them opposite of one another. The rock sections when set are rather large in size both width and length but not so much though you can not evade them. The user will make the two rock sections come together and crush the opponent together. Note that this technique can only be used up to mid and long range, this is because the sections are so large if they are close to the user their is a chance you will be crushed along side.
(Doton: Moguragakure no Jutsu) – Earth Release: Hiding like a mole technique

Description: The user changes earth into fine sand by channeling chakra into it, allowing the user to dig through it like a mole. While underground one can sense what is happening on the surface and use the information to launch a surprise attack on the enemy. Once can also hide deep in the ground, escaping to a depth where the enemy cant reach. It also appears that after digging, the ground can be returned to its original state, leaving no trace of where the user entered the earth. While inside the earth, the user cannot make handseals and can only use Earth techniques below C-Rank. If he tries to do a higher ranked technique, he'll disrupt the Hiding like a mole technique and be left crushed.
One of my favorite earth jutsus. The user will channel a large sum of there chakra towards the ground making it into quick sand pretty much and sink down in the ground. The performance of the jutsu is fast with no hand seals just focus and leaves no traces whatsoever. While you are underground you can move freely around however and wherever, also you can sense everything what is happening above ground this can help with always being on top of the situation of what is going on and you can set surprise attacks from below which is an area an opponent will usually not think about. While underground performing hand seals is impossible and you can also use only C-Rank earth and below. Now this jutsu is considered one of the dangerous as well as handiest for if the opponent ever catches or figures out you are in the ground they can easily disrupt the ground to have your chakra expelled from the area crushing you in the area, jutsus like world shaking will do. So never go underground with the opponents knowledge of it, you will be handicapped.

I start by molding my raw chakra,as i nature manipulate it into earth affinity,then i direct the chakra towards my Legs,as i release the Chakra, i have a clear picture of Fine Sand,slowly the hard earth below my feet turns into sand. Sinking into it,i continue to move freely underground while i'm still aware of things going on on the surface.
Creative uses / strengths :
Requires no handseals and its easy and fun to use. The jutsu can be used against normal ninjas as a preparation for surprise attacks.
Drawbacks / counters :
While underground,the user is limited to C rank and below earth technique and he can be seen and spotted by dojutsu and sensory ninjas. The user is vulnerable to all elemental jutsus especially raiton and doton.

Making the rat handseal and focusing doton chakra through out my body after nature manipulating it into doton by making the chakra more dense and sturdy as the natural characteristic of doton and into the ground, manipulating the ground beneath the dummy by left,while channeling my chakra, suddenly large sections of rocks start cracking the ground and rising up from it. I then begin imagining senpai in the air, getting sandwiched by those huge rocks, All of the rocks that are in the air around the dummy suddenly come flying towards him, crushing him in the process.

First of all, it can be used in combination with the hiding like a mole technique to catch somebody off guard and crush them. This technique is useful for finishing off immobilized opponents. It's also mid/long range so it's really usefull in all fighting aspects.
Drawbacks and counters :
As it can be combined with hiding like a mole technique, it also gets countered by it. Before getting crushed, the opponent can dig underground and the rocks can also get destroyed by lightning, as the user can actually get out of the way with a technique that launches the user in the air high enough to be higher than the rocks. It also isn't really useful for taijutsu fights, or close range combat.

Description: Using this jutsu, a person can hide underground until they're ready to attack an opponent by merging with the ground itself. By utilizing earth-chakra, the person can stealthily emerge from the ground without disrupting the ground around him. The disadvantage with this technique is that merging with the ground is rather slow and while perfomring the technique, the user is vulnerable to high ranked Earth techniques. The user isn't hidden from doujutsu or sensory ninjas and cannot travel beyond the 3 meter deep mark. Moving around in the ground is slow and the user cannot sense very well what is happening above.
This is mainly an evasion jutsu or set up jutsu. The user will slowly drop into the ground for either evading jutsus or escaping tough situations. Its very quick and simple to use. The other main way to use it, is that you can snick attack an opponent, a tough thing is you will be unable to sense anything down their so you must remember the opponents position. Also if an opponent figures out your underground your severely handicapped because you will be unable to perform any jutsu while underground. While rising from the ground though no opponent will be able to notice a disruption since its very silent. Its a great assassination type jutsu.

Description: The user will first perform the required hand seals Rabbit → Boar → Rat → Horse → Tiger → Snake and slamming the hands on the ground, the user can, by flowing concentrated chakra into the Dragon Veins flowing underground, tear the earth apart, creating large chasms by raising the earth in two oposite sides in the desired location and then splitting that piece of earth through the center. The length, width, direction, and curve of the chasm are all up to the user. Manipulating the Dragon Veins requires fine chakra control, but if one has such skill, they can use this technique to divide the space between the enemy and their own team in two, destroy enemy camps or defences, and even to attack.
Note: This does not split the earth appart directly to cause opponents to fall in the fissure.

The user has full control how and where they want the earth to be torn, this is very efficient jutsu to change the terrain in your favor. For example splitting the ground between you and the opponent this can stop a fast opponent from getting in close as well as push them back. A problem with the jutsu is it takes some time to perform as well as execute, this can easily leave you open for attacks. If their is a dramatic terrain change you can use this to manipulate it in your favor. As shown in the anime the trees were filled with Amaterasu flames, Yamato split the earth apart where they flames where so they can bypass them unharmed. Depending on how much chakra you add the larger it will be.
