I disagree with your response, he still evil
Sasuke's on the path to redemption for a couple reasons. Basically, he's still a dark character but has show improvement. He apologized to Karin. Admitting you are wrong is the first step to redemption. It's also a
huge step for character as arrogant as Sasuke to admit he was wrong. He has given up revenge. Indeed, he looks to the future, not the past anymore which is probably the biggest development Sasuke has ever received. Since both he and Naruto are looking to the future now, this would make Sasuke much, much more susceptible to tnj. Finally, Sasuke' also improved in that he saves his comrades now. In Five Kage Summit, he sacrificed Karin though she could still have been useful to him for her medical skills. Now, he saved Sakura even though she wasn't of use to him. He already had a medic that was loyal to him and didn't need Sakura who could hold some resentment towards Sasuke for obvious reasons.
Sasuke is still a dark character but he has shown improvement. Just because he's not completely good doesn't mean he's evil. He's going through a gradual, multi-step redemption unlike the other redemption stories in
Naruto which are all more or less one step.
I don't think many characters in
Naruto can qualify as evil. There's Hidan, and that's it. Most at the very least have good, sympathetic intentions but go about them in evil ways.
