No offense, but that sound like quite the asspull. Isn't it much more logical that Madara just absorbed sage chakra Hashi like Pein did with Naruto. The only difference is that Madara through skill and senju cells was able to balance the nature energy with his own chakra.
Madara's surprise at its ease means this was his first time handling it personally.
That's exactly what I said, but where do you think he planned it and learned how it worked.
Madara didn't plan this on the spot, this was a back up plan he had, that's why he targeted Hashirama despite Obito becoming the Ten Tailed Jinchuriki.
He said that this is the famous Senjutsu chakra, so he was long aware of it and clearly showed planning.
And that he was so concerned about keeping Hashirama from the fight with Obito, shows that he knew the only way to hurt the Juubi Jinchuriki was using Senjutsu.
Also we don't know if Madara can maintain it for long, Senjutsu runs out, once he burns it that's it, he probably doesn't plan to maintain it for long.
Also that he absorbed it using the Preta Path and didn't do it by himself sort of says that Sasuke can't do it as he doesn't posses a Rinnegan and has no time to go to one of the places to learn it by himself.
