I didn't notice it at first, and had to re-read chapter 636 before I understood it. But if you remember the earlier chapter a while back when Madara was explaining the zetsu to Obito in Chapter 606,

You can see that Madara was able to manifest his will into physical form into black chakra rods, much like the one's that Pain used, but he can implant his will into the zetsu bodies as shown back in 606. Since Obito was wrapped into a zetsu body back in chapter 603...

It's quite possible that this zetsu body was infused with Madara's black will from the beginning, lying dormant to be awaken by Madara at a later time. If you look back at the latest chapter..

You can see those same black chakra rods coming out of Obito's right arm, taking over Obito with the will of Madara. This might also help explain the last page of this latest chapter when we can see Obito seemingly forced into a hand sign, likely the one that will be used to revive Madara with the Rinne Tensei technique.

Not really sure what to make of this chapter though as a whole, Obito seemed kind of man-handled by Kakashi too easily, but I think it's too soon to make any judgments just yet. It could also be possible that Obito is fighting against Madara's black will overtaking his body, but not sure what is going to happen. Thanks for checking out my post!

Obito might have used the Rinne Tensei of his own free will, when the time was right.

Unfortunately, Obito put too much faith in Madara from the beginning, and this has led to a new chain of events that might not only revive Madara, but also the 4 Hokage and maybe everyone that has died in the battle so far.

If the Hokage are revived, Madara would have an easier time beating them, if you think about it.

Obito might still have control and revive Neji and the others to give Naruto more to fight for... But I can't see him doing it out of a sense of humility, more to screw with Madara.

I don't know if you have noticed this, madara pace his will in one of the zetsus which appear black in nature. We've been seeing that zetsu as obito's partner for quite a period. But all of a sudden,it disappeared. So maybe his disappearance can explain to us how obito got madara's will in him. That's what I think

The black zetsu was fighting with the mizukage and Naruto when it was cut in half bu Chojuro(I think) using his chakara sword. I dont think he survived that afterwards tho.

Pretty much.

Another possible explanation... Madara is starting to develop a taste for younger wood...

I think obito is dying, he is not immortal, he is nearly, but not completly. remember when he was attacked by itachi's planted amaterasu. obito said that if itachi knew more about him he would be dead now (chapter 397 page 10)

and I think madara sences this. that's why he sais "it can't be helped" . he has to do this now before obito is gone.
it's also reasonable to think that madara will have placed a fail-safe thing in obito's new bodyparts, to ensure that madara can take control whenever he needs to. obito was coopperating with him for the most part, but near the end obito started to challenge him (like chapter 614 page 7) I actualy like madara's look at the botom of that page, it clearly says "you think your in control, I'll leave you in that dream for now :p " right there I think madara already knew he was going to have to use his fail-safe system to get back into a real body and become jink of the juuby. but obito was still usefull there, to help control the juuby and as a target for the alliance. but now that he is no longer on the battlefield and that he seems to be dying both those reasons are gone, so now only what madara wants remains. for that reason he is doing this now.
