I think we've completely exhausted this whole argument about the So6P's sons and the respective traits they were given.
(I am more than likely not the first to make this observation, but...)
Personally, yes, I think so. I'm starting to believe that the So6P didn't possess the Rinnegan, but something greater, something that combines the EMS and the Rinnegan.
See what I mean? I think it may be too hard to see the tomoe in the Rinnegan eyes of the So6P in other panels, but here I believe it is spelled out very clearly.
The Rinnegan is not the undisputed peak of ocular power.
We've been going back and forth, quarreling about what is needed to achieve the Rinnegan. Specifically, adding Senju DNA. But we've been reluctant to point out that since the Uchiha got the eyes, and the Senju the body, maybe the Rinnegan and possibly what lies beyond it, is achievable solely by being of descendants of the brother who was given the ocular power.
But another thing, where did the Hyuga come into all of this? It's been said by Kakashi that the Sharingan is, more or less, a derivative of the Byakugan.
Sooo....
The EMR (Eternal Mangekyo Rinnegan), as I'm going to call it, dilutes into the Byakugan. You receive an incredible 360 degree field of vision, and you can see chakra flow as well as from vast distances. But is a pair of eyes that is unable to evolve?
The Byakugan dilutes into the Sharingan, possibly getting to the very roots of the 'EMR'. At this level it can evolve back up, with skill and power, potentially all the way into the Rinnegan, and presents the opportunity for genjutsu and other incredible techniques.
It's just a chain that doesn't make a lot of sense, maybe Kishi just toyed with the idea, and either gave up on it, forgot about it, or still has an plan for it. There is just a lot of static with this connection.

Is this crazy? I'm kind of all over the place with this post, and I'm not really reaching a central point. But I just think there's something more to this argument than talking about needing Senju DNA for this, and Uchiha DNA for that.
Especially Izanagi.

Thoughts, ideas, speculation, anything to stimulate something beyond this back and forth bickering with the Senju and Uchiha DNA strands.
