What Level is Kankuro?

What do u mean except failures he only lost to deidara and that was out of technicalities -_- he hasn't lost to anyone else unless u count naruto who really didn't fight gaara Just a pre demon
He won against sasuke (it wouldve counted as a lost if sasuke didn't Persue him)
To me kimmi would've defeated gaara if tht last move would've been made but then again if gaara becomes unconscious (at the time talking) the demon would've killed kimmi

Against deidara only lost cuz deidara used village as hostage

Briefly fought sasuke ended no contest

Fought his dad won

Beirfly fought 3rd raikage no contest naruto took over tht battle while gaara went to mizukage
He won against mizukage

Now fighting madara


Now in terms of battling how can u put gaara and kankuro in same boat if they clearly didn't have the same amount of battles or even close gaara in terms of battle and sthregth is below naruto and around sasuke (untill sasuke gets power up to tie with naruto)

Well it's true, what you say, but we have seen the full extent of gaaras powers now, but we are yet to see kankuros. He beat sasori and deidara like nothing, and I would say gaara had better backups, also the emotions from his father was partly the reason he won, where the same can be said about kankuro vs sasori.
And again as I recall it that "village as hostage" he used that as a distraction to form some bombs of the sand and place it in it, so when gaara pulled his shield back, the bombs were inside. That trick could have gotten him in other ways as well.
To summarize I just believe other abilities needs to be accounted for as well in order to rank them. And where Gaara has matured a lot with leadership, so has kankuro. Kankuro can be more tricky, and he his also faster and close combat, where gaara needs distance and mass sand. They have same weakness, where you could say that gaaras defense is a lot better, but 1 attack from kankuro can be a lot more fatal than an attack from gaara. Also the advantage of using puppets is the fact that if the opponent knows too little about them, he wont know what abilities they have, where gaaras ability basicly is an open book.
IMO Gaaras greatest strength lies in his defensive/long range abilities. Where kankuro is more sneaky, and got better chances against opponents who are even stronger than him.

Sorry to say it, but you can't make those comparisons. Sure Gaara would win kankorou, but in the end it all comes down to the opponent. Deidara didn't win against gaara due to the fact that he had to protect eveyone, that was just a distractions while he made his real move. Also that fight happened at the place where gaara is best.
As I said Kankorou has other advantages, that can be used better in the field. Besides we haven't seen much from Gaara except failures.

He made onoki change his ways,his speech strenghtened the bond between the alliance. He was made kage at 15. In the databooks,kaknuro wishes to fight anyone but gaara.

He is not low kage level though but I think he will reach that level in several months-few years. The same can be said for Temari.

remember, he lost so easily against sasori because he created his puppets,he knew their weaknesses inside and out,so it was easy to counter them. Kankuro modified them later in the war arc alongside sasori's old body(ironically his strongest puppet),and mother and father puppet(chiyo's strongest puppets),so he should be quite strong now.

Kankuro is one of the most underrated characters. In the end, he was even able to defeat and surpass Sasori.

Puppet users are actually extremely deadly since they rig their puppets with surprises. The element of surprise can easily give one ninja the advantage even if they lose out in pretty much all other statistics. Bushin feints are just one example of such trickery. Since Kankuro is supposed to be inheriting the mother and father puppet too.. I can feel a bright future for Gaara's brother.
