what kind of shounen main character would you want?

If you could create your own manga, what kind of main character would you create?

I'll drop a thread later about my main character. You will enjoy it.

This quote wold describe my character perfectly.

So tell me what kind of main character would you create?

If you're a shounen manga, you pretty much have to have the bland Naruto and Goku type character.

But since it's Shounen that would be impossible :|

An arrogant, evil, sadistic main character who enjoys pissing people off, but at the same time has empty of other people's feelings. Someone with a great power(not literary the physical type of power) and strong conviction about their ideals. Someone who is a realist, that knows what is possible and what is not. Someone who would go pass their standard limitation for those who truly deserve it.

"Evil is not something I love being, it's rather a way of life that gives those who gave up on life some hope to live on and avenge, so until everyone in the world is satisfied, I will keep being that guy keeps pissing you people off."

I'd go with sort of a weird, maybe socially awkward/disconnected from reality character who appears to be not too emotional, but is kind and caring deep inside. They'd be more of a reluctant hero kind, not really wanting to shine, instead wishing to do something they're good at/like. They wouldn't be a genius, but rather average.

A manga where the main character is an adult detective and vigilante. Fighting crime and solve murders. Something that is a mix of Sherlock Holmes and Batman.

i second this,i swear i hate it when the female characters get to do all the annoying stuff they do and getting away with it

 

[Chakra Wizard]

Something closer to Edward Elric than anything else. A guy who breaks most of the main protagonist stereotypes in shōnen, like stupidity and special powers that grow over time, with more personality flaws to overcome than physical ones. Not necessarily a prodigy or a genius, but someone who can use the knowledge they obtain over time, and some mixed morals, too (not every teenage protagonist should be completely innocent or have to avoid killing anybody, even in a war situation). On the comedy side, he's definitely gotta be a bit of a smartass more than anything else. I got a guy in my personal vault who occasionally breaks the fourth wall, which would make for some great lines if it's used right. lol

I for one I would like a genius however flawed character that he develops over time. Also being badass at times.

i would make character, that would be your typical naruto, goals of being a leader and stuff like that, but in reality, is a psychopath with twisted views and is actually insane. I really like insane and sadistic characters.
