What jutsu was Madara performing?

So Naruto just informed us that Obito was never using Rinne Tensei all along.

Yet in the previous chapter:

Madara seems to lose his Edo Tensei cracked skin and become alive while the jutsu is activated.

He certainly wasn't becoming the Jinchuuriki as he was a zombie.

Also, the current situation seems out of hand for him so I don't think he was intentionally making Obito a Jinchuuriki.

Thoughts?

Lol it has nothing to do with that. What it shows is that was showly forcing Obito to give him his lifeforce and that's why his cracks started to disappear and when he was about to fully revived, Minato shashed Obito stopping the rinnei tensei and thta;s why his body became edo again.
