A big part of One Piece is that it's a comedy and it's mostly hillarious.
If you ask me, 90% of Odas jokes, works! Which is an impressive feet indeed.
But with such a long running series, it's been 15 years now and over 700 chapters.. what jokes just fell flat and plainly just didn't work?
There's been complaints about Sanjis nose-bleeding and behaviour around women.. I think that works for the most part, it tense to be dragged a bit out in the anime so it becomes redundant, but in the manga, it's mostly pretty funny and spot on.
The biggest thing sticking out to me though, is fat Usopp on Boinge island.. that just.. wasn't funny at all to me, not in the least.
Quite the opposit it was sad and disturbing to see Usopp at such a disposition, and it's not even like he hasn't been in embarrising situations before where it was kind of funny.. this though.. no.. it just didn't sit well with me at all.
What sticks out to you the most as being the ten percent that just didn't work.. because, some-time even the best tries and fails, such is a part of life.
With high risks in going for it, both comes great success's and some failures. Also in profesional comedy.
