What Itachi's Plan For Sasuke?

If Itachi's plan had gone exactly like he planned it out (whether or not Naruto died for Sasuke to gain MS is up to you), would Sasuke have been a hero of Konoha, or not? Because me personally, I don't see it.

Itachi's plan was for Sasuke to avenge his clan by killing him, that would have made him a hero in the eye's of the hidden leaf village, instead he severed all ties defected from the village and joined Orochimaru, that wasn't what Itachi planned. Basically The fact that he defected from Konoha meant that he couldn't be a hero even if he did kill Itachi.

Yes, If the kages knew who stopped kabuto, they would have been crowned a hero, thats what they said (don't feel like pulling it up) Sasuke was the last person there so regardless he's one already, he's done a good deed that saved everyone's asses (besides the kages xD)
