i had this doubt often, so what does it need to be stronger in the narutoverse?

for example, we have seeen many characters with exceptionally high chakra ex:Hashirama,Tobirama,Kisame,Minato(possibly),Orochimaru,Tsunade,4th,Onoki, raikage,3rd raikage,Naruto,Kushina,no idea abt Hiruzen,Killer bee etc(hope i covered all)

in another criteria, we have strong shinobis(dont know how else to call them) who have low chakra

ex: Kakashi,Itachi,Shikamaru(very low) etc.

now who is stronger?
we have strong shinobis from both these classes. so who is better? is it the one with higher chakra(which means is it the chakra level that decides who is stronger)?

or is it just techniques?

it really intrigues me. give me your take on this subject.

Either high amounts of chakra, making huge ass jutsu spam possible to make one good, or extreme inteligence, which takes ones less than perfect stamina or abilities, and makes them good.

The one with more chakra is generally the one who lasts longer.

The one who lasts longer is generally the one who is the last one standing.

It could go either way though, depending on who is fighting who.

Variety of techniques and scale of said techniques. Normally the one's who have lower chaka levels have amazing chakra control to compensate. With better chakra control they can execute their techniques on a near equivocal scale in comparison to larger chakra characters. However, the lack of reserves stagnates them and forbids them from larger scale techniques. Example; Kakashi. Low chakra levels, High Chakra control. He has nothing on a scale to compare to Naruto/Hashirama/Madara/Obito; resident High Chakra reserve characters.

The people with higher reserves have more room for finesse because they have the reserves to back up their techniques with less of a chance of exhaustion. Higher reserves also let said characters use larger scale techniques; Example: Naruto's Bijuudama and Hashirama's Shinsenjuu. Both clearly need high chakra reserves to execute.

In essence, the scale of a technique is paralleled with the potency of the technique which is added to the overall strength of the character. This is true judging by the current Top 5: 1. Obito 2. Hashirama 3. Madara 4. Naruto 5. Nagato, all of them possess massive scale techniques that do immense damage.

So overall: Larger reserves > Lower reserves with high control.

but it still intrigues me as some shinobi with lower chakra are in the top 10(am not against it,infact i love it as they are placed acc to their prowess) which makes it incredibly complex
