Lava Release had so much potential. I could image an extremely skilled Lava Release user forming Volcanoes out of the ground to have them Erupt. Same with Scorch Release. You could stand in the center of any desired area and let off an extremely hot Heat Wave that radiates through the area to turn anybody caught into dehydrated corpses.

...but what did we get for Lava Release? Rubber.
