Ebola has been pretty much in everyday news lately, but the western world are only concern about curing people who are coming to their country , so nothing happens to their precious nation, they are not helping people who are dying from it in west Africa and they are watching them die, for example in a USA conference at the beginning of October someone said lets band anyone who's coming from west Africa or near there from our country, there is nothing wrong being concerned but they are not willing to help and stop this deadly virus from spreading and killing people. such words make me sick......

Trying to cure their people is never a bad thing . Just because they didn't help people dying outside doesn't mean they should ignore their people as well

How about you go help those Ebola patients out yourself then, if you are so concerned? Oh, and be careful of catching it yourself! Unless you enjoy the idea of a slow, painful death!

Self-preservation.

Rudimentary to all humans, institutes they make, countries, organisations and so on.

We don't view ourselves as one mankind, yet. That's all. The day will come, I believe, but not now.

50% of victims die within 5-9 days of showing symptoms. Slow, no, painful, definitely.

@OP This is like saying that a person is bad because they didn't take care of another persons kid, which unless it was their duty, makes no sense. Helping out does mean that the infection will hopefully at the least be contained, but the US is already trillions in debt.

If it isn't already, I think China should be a country that helps out in the Ebola outbreak simply because if there was an outbreak in China, many people would be affected very quickly because of the sheer amount of people there (same goes for India). Poor sanitation means that the virus will easily spread, killing millions.

The media is always trying to scare people.
