I've seen some stupid remarks made about people who do not buy manga at all. Popular series such as Naruto and One Piece are only popular because of their fans. There are millions of fans who read these series on a weekly basis but guess what? The majority of these fans are reading it illegally via fan-based translation groups such as *********** and Mangapanda. They do not buy manga but that does not necessarily mean that they are not supporting it. In fact, they are advertising the series by reading it for free. The more people see a mangaka's work, the more people hear about it and the more popular the series becomes. If people were forced into buying manga then series such as Naruto would no-where be near as popular as they are now. So yes, "free-loaders" are actually beneficial to authors in a way.

If you didn’t know, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) are having a crackdown on piracy. It's a fact that piracy cannot be stopped. In this day and age, people will always find a way to share stuff to other people. A lot of people do not want to spend money on something that they have been reading for free for years. If they are suddenly forced to buy manga then they have a right to complain about it.

What do you guys think? Should we be force into buying manga? Is there anything wrong with reading manga without spending a cent?

I would buy manga if I had to... but there's nowhere that I can buy it from...

There's nothing wrong with it but I will be honest the manga looks better in real life, lines are thinner and it's more detailed I would much rather buy the real manga.

Pay for it now, and 5 minutes later there's 147 forums that have the exact same copy......

I doubt there will be any more delays in Japan, that'd just irritate the fans and could potentially sabotage them buying the manga if it's delayed every week. So, if people manage to get out raws and it translated by say Friday, that'd likely be the knew Tuesday/Wednesday. If you catch my drift. As for weather we should be forced into buying it, well that's tricky. But, I don't think that you can stop piracy as simple as this.

"In a world without gold, we might have been heroes!"

They're spending time and not getting full payment of everyone reading it, but they're still getting money which is good.
Like Ronald Jenkees. He's happy if you pay for his music, and he's happy if you pirate it because he gets happy seeing people admire his music.

Respect to that.

There's nothing wrong with pirating, in facts whenever I find it enjoyable it's the main reason why I bought some merchandise product to support the industry

It isn't really a problem if you read it for free.

However what is a problem is when people start complaining and flaming the author/kishi or saying that they give up reading the manga and crap like that, just because kishi didn't of in the exact direction they wanted. LOL, yet those people pay nothing, so they have no right to complain.

I doubt most of that even makes it off the forums, the likely-hood of Kishi visiting one of those forums are slim to none.
