What is wrong with Boruto manga

If Kawaki killed Sasuke, why not point out that he would send Boruto to the same place as Naruto and Sasuke?

Be reasonable, there are many reasons why Boruto would have his headband and sword. He is his student after-all. Given the situation and the power ups we don't understand yet, Sasuke could have left him his headband and weapon to continue his journey while he works on other projects, or even takes a break.

Makes sense for someone younger to take over the work of an aged man. If Boruto is in his twenties, Naruto/Sasuke are old ass men lmao.


It's as real as Mitsuki getting Sage Mode, and we've seen worse crap in the series via story wise. Entire War Arc for example.

To be totally honest I can't really pinpoint the exact problem of the spoilers either.

Boruto Movie:

People are too used to normality. Naruto and Sasuke being the strongest, and no one being capable of surpassing them. It sucks when a Manga is too dry where you have bold statements like these. Remember when Sasuke used to be slower than Naruto, and weaker? Now he can keep up with RSM Naruto with no freaking reason outside of 'derp Rikudou' :lol

Still ... Even if you were to take a look at the spoilers from Boruto's point of view, I still don't see the problem. You have Boruto, whose character lines seem to be in much deeper reflection than the BS child 'daddy drama' character we saw in the Movie. Plus compared to the brats, his future already spiked up a thousandfold. If they turned Boruto into an actual interesting character, who says they can't for your next generation favorites?

I was interested into the next generation concepts because it was new. Finally we get a MC who doesn't seem to be interested in friendships and the power of talk no jutsu. That's already a better start than Part 2 Naruto in my opinion.

That's essentially the problem. What were people expecting? Any story continued has to involve Naruto and Sasuke if the conflict is important. Even if the story had no deep plot, we would just be watching Team Konohamaru do petty missions like chase cats, and defeat zoo animals, until people complain that it's too mundane and boring.

Naruto and Sasuke are the pivotal pieces of the story, no matter what villain spawns from the ashes, if something happens where they don't take care of it (despite being capable to) then fan's will be extremely displeased. However the author went a different direction and took Naruto out of the context of the villain's reign. So then the real conflict can be with the story and the next generation, but of course fan's will complain that Naruto shouldn't have been taken away so easily (as they should be).

That's not even the reason, and not even the point. Boruto is inspired by Sasuke, but his bond with Sasuke is realistic and understandable compared to the crap that is Naruto and Sasuke. To be totally honest there isn't anything unique about Mitsuki or Mirai outside of design, their personalities are extremely bland, exception being Mitsuki minimally only since we have a bit taste of his personality, but it's nothing new from what we have seen already. Deciding whether the story is trash for a plot that we have no details in is on par with judging a story before it reaches its end.

Still OD has never lied before, Evil never lies but trolls, and YonkoProductions (who approved of OD's spoilers) all stated that what was happening in the spoilers was legit.

While I think OP's points are kinda dumb, I won't address them, but i'll tell a short story,

"I was talking to a friend of mine who had read Naruto as well, the topic of the conversation was a fifa tournament going on in the store behind us, but then I brought up Sasuke's new design, because he, just like me, has Sasuke as his favourite character. I made the obligatory snape comment and laughed at it, but then my stomach began to turn, I asked him if he'd seen the spoilers, he replied no, but quickly added that they should stop milking it, I somewhat agreed and then he asked me to explain the spoilers to him.

As I described them, a feeling of disbelief grew in me, then it turned into disgust and further disappointment, by the time I got around to the one eye and glowing tattoos my friend's face contorted into one of disgust. When I finished he said but two words to me, his first word was wat, not what, but wat, the disgust in his voice made it clear, his second word was why, why would they milk the series this bad, he didn't like the Boruto movie that much bit he still tolerated it, but this was the breaking point.

The words that came to my mind when he asked the question to me, perfectly described how the spoilers sounded to me, like fanfiction, like edgy fanfiction that you'd expect your 12 year old brother to write, where he made everything cooler, and thats just what it appeared to be. We were utterly disappointed at what this franchise had become."

Basically, the spoilers released does nothing good for the series, and it pained me to read, while i'll give the first chapters a try, if it retains its edgy fanfic feel then its a swift drop for it. Also, my friend made a good point, in fact we agreed on it, these spoilers would only sound good to the biggest of Boruto fans, which either of us were.

Ok, seeing how some of you guys don't see what is wrong with this series allow me to enlighten some of you.

1# by causing an other major conflict, possibly another war, Naruto attaining peace is a lie. -__-

All Naruto did was to unite the nations, and you can't really say that all of that was Naruto's doing. It was pretty much Obito and Madara's doing. Naruto was pretty much just a bright star that the people could look to. There will still be wars, there will still be conflicts, and it since this villain supposedly had enough power to take out Naruto, we can assume that things will continue to escalate.

2# Boruto represents a fallacy.

Boruto has the sun and moon tattoo on his arm, showing that he is the unification of both sides. Basically Boruto doesn't need a complimentary other half. He alone can achieve peace. That goes against what the Sage has told us and Itachi.

3# The edge

Seriously how can you say that boruto isn't following Sasuke's breadcrumbs when the dude is rocking his sword. Who do you think taught Boruto about the whole sun and moon ideology :wesobi:

And the kid's looks omg. Boruto is basically edgy Naruto if you are going by looks. It seriously looks like the illustrator is trying too hard to make Boruto look hardcore and in the end he comes out looking like some 6th grade fan fic.

If you can tell me how this kid could logically surpass Naruto or Sasuke (without a Sage level handout) I really wanna know :sdo:
