According to my research Vasto Lorde is highest class evolution for all menos clas hollow.
Stated by hitsugaya Vasta lorde is far more powerful than any shinigami captain.
Since hitsugaya know this, soul society encounter vasto lorde before.
From the research I do this is vasto lorde
Vasto Lorde's are menos class Hollows..
Hollows who's hunger simply can't satiated by human souls begin consuming other hollows... and those hollows combine and become Gillians... Gillians are menos-class hollows that are quite powerful but are more like brainless animals with no conciousness... They all look alike with the same mask... Huge Hollows black in color...
If somehow a Gillian has some conciousness their mask will be different... In the process they eat other hollows and Gillians to evolve into Adjuchas... Adjuchas are capable of speech and have conciousness but still have a more hollow like appearance... They control Gillians...
An Adjhuchas has to continue eating other hollows to remain that way or else they revert back to being Gillians... They continue eating and if they are powerful enough they will become Vasto Lordes... Vasto Lordes are the most powerful among Menos and they have a more humanoid form..
Because of it very hard to reach Vasto lorde form, to avoid revert back to gillian, adjuchas became Arrancars with the help of the Hogyouku... It gives them Shinigami powers... And stopped their hollow evolution.
In Grimmjow's past he met his fraccions when he attacked two people from their group while he was a panther Adjuchas... After seeing his power they suggested he become their leader... But after eating tons of hollows when they couldn't become Vasto Lordes they asked him to eat parts of them so they stop evolving and also reverting back... Then I guess Aizen came and they were all made Arrancars...
This apply same to other espada. However their is some people claim that all espada beyond ulrulorra is vasto lorde before they turning into arrancar. I personally said its wrong after saw ichigo Vasta lorde hollow form beat up ulrulorra easily.
In conclusion. Vasta lorde > arrancar >= Adjuchas > Gillian
Correct me if wrong.
Btw I am confused since it required to consumes tons of hollow for adjuchas becoming vasto lorde. How come ichigo reach this stage easily. ( without consumes any hollow)
