What is Tobi?

Madara and tobi share the same goal.. the same intention to use nagato's ability (rinnegan) for their own personal purposes.. The knowledge that both madara and tobi possess Is also far from different... Tobi knows what madara knows.. Tobi is like the reflection of Madara.. But how could this possible? If tobi really is madara, he cnuld have been dead right now coz his soul is summoned to the actual body of madara with the edo tensei technique.. and yet tobi is still alive.. and there is edo- madara(the real madara) getting ready for a planet devastation.. Then who in the blue hell is tobi?? Or perhaps the right question to be asked is.. WHAT is tobi? Is tobi a summon just like enma and gamabunta but but in the form of human who escaped and wandering around? Madara's will? madara's chakra? Or tobi itself is a living..Walking justu? Share your toughts.

Whatever or whoever Tobi is still up for speculation but the fact remains that Zetsu remains the key to uncovering the enigma that is Tobi. I figure it'll tie into Tobi's agreement with Kabutomaru in regards to Zetsu and the secret ability that Madara unlocked with his EMS.

i think in a chapter or two, it will be revealed how madara survived his fight vs hashirama, then the next step is how he implanted dna into himself, which i think will also shed more light on zetsu. and tobi's identity is most probably tied up with zetsu's, at least in part. the secret of his body may be revealed before his identity though.

I've had this theory for a while, and if you think about it its quite plausible. I think tobi or the one who's been posing as Madara .Is in fact Madara's brother. We already know tobi is not Obito ,And for the most part kishi has thrown Madara's brother to the wayside, only bringing him up as "The brother who gave his eyes to Madara for the Uchiha clan to strive."We dont know what happened to him after that. Kishi showed what the konoha people thought happened to him but he never confirmed or denied it. If Madara was able to convince his brother to give up his eyes for the sake of the uchiha what makes you think he wouldnt retrieve those eyes when his brother died and implanted them back in, so he could continue what he and his brother visioned?

"Then Edo Madara wouldnt have his eyes." Yes he would. Because when itachi was brought back with Edo, He had his eyes when we all know sauske had them implanted.

So thats my tobi theory.

This might be a crazy Tobi theory, and to be honest I'd rather go with 'he's a Madara Zetsu' but what if Tobi was Tobirama Senju?! O.O

We know that during the war he sacrificed himself to be the decoy (but we don't know that he died). He is also a character we knew was great with space time Ninjustu and he was the origional creator of the Summoning: Impure World Resurrection technique ...

He has the Senju blood (which is needed to active the Rinnegan) and he might have taken a Sharingan from an Uchiha user? Could this be true, or am I going crazy? :shrug:

Edit, :flaw: I just remembered that Tobirama was summoned using the Impure World Resurrection technique by Orochimaru to fight Hiruzen. Which means, he must of been dead ...

The annihiliation of the uchiha clan was part of izuna's vengeance because they turned their back on Madara.. Madara obviously didn't die in the fight with Hashirama because he couldn't activate the Rinnegan without his DNA but if he died much later and had already activated the Rinnegan wouldn't he be able to use the Jutsu that the SO6P used to create the Bijuu ? i think is called Creation Of All Things ... hhhmmmmmm The SO6P split the Juubi's chakra into 9 chakra . What if Madara split his chakra into half and created a shell for it and you have Tobi .

Izuna killing uchiha clan is just like sasuke killing konoha....they both are getting revenge for there brothers.....but you said madara is using nagato's power which is wrong since nagato would never had the rinnengan if madara didn't give it to him

well its possible bro.. at the last second of his life, he might have used the newly-activated rinnegan to split his chakra..And tobi is the vessel of that chakra Just like what the sage did.. He split the juubi into nine seperate chakras.. And i guess what tobi meant when he said he wanted to be complete, Was to unite back with his original body.. We never knw

When people refer to a zetsu clone, they mean a white zetsu clone, what if a BLACK zetsu clone is more than just a perfect clone? I imagine black zetsu is the half that records battles and has some form of visual memory storage... if he can clone a persons visual memories, he can infact really become a person... Tobi?

i've had the following theory for a while and i think that this might the actual truth:

Madara, before he died, he split himself like muu did, think about it,


-Tobi used the kyuubi like Madara did, implying they have the same control power
-Both have sharingan
-Both have a relationship with Nagato (or know him somehow), and both intended for him to use his resurreccion jutsu for his purposes


also, kishi might turn this out a way none of us could expect, like usual

Itachi had his eyes because when he died. Tobi took them after his death. Edo revives the person in the same state as he died , same clothes everything, examples itachi , nagato.
