What is this "Tengu" being that everyone is talking about?

I'm not sure if I'm the only one that's lost here, but what does it has to do with? Like what is its significance, and how does it connect to the story at the moment?

These are the names that people sometimes attribute to the Susanno forms. Notice the long nose and the same face that Madara's PS has.

As far as i understand it, it's a japanese Myth and Susano'o resembles the Tengu in appearance thats all..
