Why are people so infatuated with seeing characters get killed?

Is that the only way you get a sense of realism from things? Is that what makes you happy? Watching people get mauled and brutalised?

Yes it is. The war has been extremely unrealistic without deaths. How can something be considered war without death it just does not seem to be something an audience can grasp because it's simply impossible. The readers have been patient and are looking for atleast a death in an important character to make the War something to look back on once the series has ended. It is also very anti-climatic for the good guys to win without struggle.

First of all, people are advocating deaths currently because it's a war. A raging war. People are going to die, people are supposed to die. Not just nameless shinobi, but all kinds of characters. I myself, on the other hand, don't care to see any old character randomly killed, there should be a reason as to why a certain character is getting killed. (Although I don't want it to happen) Gai has a reason to die; Aoba (or any other random character) does not.

Secondly, they're fictionalized characters. If they die, people aren't mentally insane or sick for expressing interest in said death. They want the story to progress and certain characters to gain emotional development. It's not like they're getting entertained watching actual people undergo mutilation.

]. No it is not good enough. Tsuande dying so that Naruto can become hokage seems to predictable but Kishimoto has shown to go both the predictable and unpredictable path. Think of it this way, You are watching a scary movie and no one dies, gets cut or kidnapped. Their is blood but the blood came from the Killer in the movie. Their are no victims. They had nothing to lose because they were already dead, so making the alliance get many of it's troops killed would have been meaningless in a way. I get the saying, "you can't have a war without death." But who has been alive in the war? That's right no one. Kabuto, Obito, and Sasuke are the only ones that are alive. Although Sasuke is just in the neutral party i assume, since his defection from Itachi.

Naruto saved Kakashi, Bee, and Gai. So if he wasn't present all of them would have suffered death at the hands of Obito and Madara. The only characters that have been killed has just been fodders. Samui and the others from the alliance were trapped in sacred items. I don't care who dies in the war. I can tell that Kakashi, Gai, Obito, and Sasuke along with other relevant characters might die in the end of the series. Who dies? I'm not sure i just throw my two cents out there without caring who doesn't make it to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Also, Microword. Didn't the Kages almost died against Madara? You seem to have forgotten about that fight... The good guys will struggle and its showing right now. Both Naruto and Bee ran out of chakra without the supply needs they can't defeat Juubi. The alliance is there to support them for a short time span i assume. All of them can't beat Juubi without Naruto and Bee. Sasuke might be the last hope in order to defeat Madara, if Kishi includes him.

(Side Note: If Edo Itachi didn't have a special role the alliance would have lost)

In addition to that, a character's death doesn't mean gruesome or brutal violence. For the most part, none of the deaths so far have been horrific in any way. Blood here and there, but they're not bisected, arm cut off, head stepped on and then blasted to kingdom come.

That's because Kishimoto made Naruto look weak in the beginning of Part II through a large arsenal of episodes. He is recompensing Naruto with overpowered techniques to make him look dangerous for this specific arc. I agree that the War arc has shown disappointment and i honestly don't enjoy every single episode. There was just different episodes that i enjoyed seeing like Itachi and Sasuke reuniting, Gaara vs Fourth Kazekage, Naruto learning about the other seven beasts, and the current stroryline of Kakashi and Obito.

Also, Edo's didn't use their most powerful techniques because they were holding back. They were losing on purpose and telling there enemies on how to beat them. I never agreed with letting the alliance get a cheap victory, especially in a terrible manner. I can guarantee you that the alliance will lose important characters and more fodders.
