Drowning says being a nice way to die. It's only the beginning that is the painful, but later after when you're out air, brain start giving you illusions and you slowly believes you see stuffs (beautiful stuffs) and then later slowly goes unconscious and then after that drown.

Worst death in mine opinion would probably be by hunger since you can survive without food for 1 - 2 weeks as long you have water, still you feel the pain for hunger as well you can't later move since you are only skin & skeleton.

If not being eat slowly to death or eaten slowly from inside to death.

Believe it or not, most say drowning is supposed to become quite pleasant after the few seconds of shock (when breathless and the lungs fill with water) have passed. I've read loads of stories where people have nearly drowned, but said that they felt calm and relaxed before blacking out.

The worst way is probably being stuck in a machine or crushed. Just imagine getting your leg slowly being shredded up in a machine, and then your waist, and eventually your upper body. That must be a horrible way to go out.

Oh jesus christ that is scary too, though I imagine it's much like drowning. Anything where you're completely aware that you're dying and you can't do anything to stop it...with not even pain to distract you.

Hahah the feathers one got me. That sounds truly awful especially if you were being tickled and you couldnt do anything about it!
