What Is The True Way of Attaining Peace?

My apologies if a thread like this has already been made.

Also, sorry if anything in this thread isn't top quality, as what I'm discussing is a confusing topic for me to discuss.

Anyways, what I wanted to discuss tonight was about peace and how it can be obtained. This thread is also sort of about if Nagatowas really in the wrong with his ideals. But to get to the point, what is the true way to peace (specifically in the ninja world)? I believe that Nagato had good intentions but was truly wrong in the end, because creating an enormous fear will lead to peace, but it is fake because what is the point of it when people will just detest their own lives? But at the same time, what other choice is there? There will always be the likes criminals in our world and in the ninja world, and unlike in our world, most of them are given much more severe punishment. Regardless, if these people are dealt with some form of harm, doesn't that just reinforce that people are too harsh to each other? And if they aren't dealt with punishment, won't they just cause more harm to people?

And like what Nagato said, justice can be corrupt. For example, when America or any other country goes to war, when they win and defeat the "bad" guys, this is apparently justice. But what about the citizens who are caught in the crossfire and killed? The citizens who are still alive will detest war even more, and that will just breed hatred. What about the soldiers who give up their lives fighting for this justice? The fact that men are being killed to achieve this won't sit well with everyone and that will just breed hatred as well.

But then these rebels who are apparently fighting for the right cause will just create less and less understanding among others, which will breed even more hatred...

So to conclude, I don't believe what Nagato did was right but I don't really know if I have a definite answer to it. I get that we should just all be kind to each other and whatnot, but how can this better understanding be created and perfected? What do you guys think is the key to peace, not just in the ninja world but in our world as well? I'd really like to hear your answers and input.

In Naruto? Well you see, to me, it seems like Kishimoto is building up the Narutoverse to the pathway to peace right now, ever since the Gokages' Summit. Think about it; 5 great nations who used to constantly feud and fight each other have finally come together in order to take out a global threat together. The nations have come together, despite the grudges that shinobis have held against each other in the past.

The chain of hatred that once tore the countries to war against each other is about to overcome by working together to conquer such a great threat. While mankind often fought against each other for their own independent peaces at the sacrifice of war, this is war mankind is fighting together to their own vague idea of peace. With the world uniting to take out this threat, overcome each others hatred that they once held against another village and count on each other to protect one another.

It's a concept that happened in Code Geass, the world comes together after many struggles against one another to take out one global threat to the entire world. Once that threat is conquered, you get some nice world peace going on. Whether that peace is permanent, I really don't know but I'm thinking that's the route Kishimoto is going with. That's my guess anyway

As long as others rely on the assistance of powers outside of themselves to achieve peace, there will never be true peace, it will only be an illusory one, that is what you call the Outer Path in Buddhism which is heresy, Nagato's plan to use the Bijūs as weapons and Madara's plan to use an outside power (Shinju) to create a dream world are examples of following the Outer Path.

True Peace is achieved by following the Inner Path.
