Ok what is the tree with the papers dangling from the branches at the end of the new anime intro openings Just wondering is it something the sage of the six paths used to use?

If your talking about Naruto, I wouldn't know, I stopped watching it because they do a terrible job, its just not worth watching anymore IMO.
Also, Naruto is playing nothing but fillers so its probably nothing.

If this is the one you are referring to then I believe it symbolizes the bonds of Naruto's friends and how he has to hold on to them during this tough battle.

I thought they were lantern's. As for their symbolism, I'm not sure. They light his path? The opening video didn't make a lot of sense to me. Sorry.
