What is the purpose of a tool that is never used?

Like, what if you had something that could be really useful but for whatever reason you never use it.

Imagine if that tool is a person, that has the potential to do awesome stuff but doesn't for some reason.

If that person knew they had capacity to do something interesting but for some reason never does, then what purpose does that person have?

What if you had the potential to like paint like Da Vinchi, but for whatever reason you don't or are not allowed too.

What would your purpose be?

i think everyone has the ability to bring something special to the world....a lot of people also have a lot of potential

a lot of people dont live in their purpose because of laziness straight up. you could own a house with tons of diamonds in the ground, soil that could feed millions in the backyard and gold underneath the floors. but if youre just sitting around on your ass watching TV and looking at everyone elses house, not trying to find the value in your own house and things you can use with what you have. its a waste...

and then even if you find the diamonds or find out you have this godly soil. it takes work to reap the benefits and see them in your life. you have to learn and put in work. a lot of people hit the stage where they find it, then theyre just sitting around on their ass, waiting for something to happen or talking about what they can do or have, without actually ever doing anything with it other than talking

theres always a way and if you follow your heart and what you feel is your purpose, everything will fall in place

Then your purpose could be to inspire other people to follow their own goals. Even babies existing has purpose because they provide their caretakers with smiles and meaning in their lives. And altho I think we should all aspire to be more than just, basic, I feel like it's not bad to not achieve everything you meant to.

If you don't use a tool and put it in a corner it's having a temporary aesthetic role.
A person who doesn't fulfill their talent may still contribute to the species perpetuation.
I think nothing and no one are and becomes useless.
